Analysis and treatment of ink breakage in Dimatix 1024 new printhead.

   When a new printhead is installed, some holes may experience ink breakage. After a few days of use, the ink breakage becomes more severe. After replacing the printhead with a new one, this phenomenon will improve.
   Use starfire printheads and solvent ink for advertising printing.
   After the printhead holes are partially blocked, mild cases may result in oblique spraying and a small amount of ink breakage in the holes

   In slightly more severe cases, there will be more ink breakage in the spray holes

   When the printer is debugging and printing on the machine, this phenomenon is not serious, but when printing dark full-color blocks, dark and light colors will appear, especially at the middle section of the printer near the ink return interface, which is more prone to ink breakage
After dissecting the returned printhead by the printhead manufacturer, it was found that there were residual fibrous impurities at the printhead hole and the front filter of the printhead after inspection.
   The entire ink circuit is washed with solvent ink cleaning solution for 1 hour before leaving the factory, and the residual liquid is basically drained before leaving the factory. Therefore, it can be considered that some impurities that have fallen off from the components have been basically washed clean before leaving the factory, and these impurities are generated after leaving the factory.

Emergency response plan
(1) Clean the filter screen and observe if the situation has improved.
(2) Test with 50 DISC37 stainless steel filters (20 μ m) to observe if the interception effect of the stainless steel filters will be better. In the test strip, it can be seen that there are many holes in the printhead that are blocked and no ink is sprayed out. This also indicates that the 20 μ m precision stainless steel mat filter has poor interception effect on some floating fibers in ink.
(3) Use 4 47FH filters with a 20 μ m filter, installed at the printhead to intercept impurities. After interception, analyze the membrane under a microscope to confirm whether there is fiber interception on the filter, and confirm from which part of the filter it falls off, and then confirm the effect of washing the filter screen
